Even though I would recommend this movie to all cinema-lovers, a small attention would be thoughtful. Non-Turkish viewers could experience difficulty understanding and thus appreciating the drama and humor, due to the cultural specific nuances and sentiment. Alongside the French movie "Intouchables", this movie is the best drama I've ever watched.

Bad acting, simple storyline, annoying daughter (played by Maggie Grace, showing really bad, or a lack of, acting skills). Despite all of these negative characteristics, the movie is fun and exciting. The background, prostitution-slavery and East-European mobsters, combined with the awesome skills and character of Bryan Mills, played by Liam Neeson, make this movie really enjoyable.

Moments of simple plots and acting are more than compensated by the really exciting build-up to and the actual plot (no spoiler!). However, without Russell Crowe, his acting and his (developing) character during the story, this movie could have been qualified as being a mediocre thriller at best with mediocre acting talent.
